Membership Options and Benefits

Covers your ENTIRE Company so you can send one or more employees to any BRPA function. Sponsor membership does not entitle members to free entry to events that require additional payment (e.g. Holiday Luncheon). Each member also gets one vote related to all major organization decisions (e.g. Officers, Changes in bylaws, etc.). Benefits associated with Sponsor membership include publicity (company listed on BRPA website) and the ability to offer discounts to BRPA members. Companies that engage in selling products or services to practitioners are considered sponsor members. The people that attend BRPA events do not need to be the same at each event.

Cost: $300
Period: Annual membership is January 1 to December 31st. Sponsor membership dues can be paid online through the website or by check. Pro-rated membership is available to NEW member applicants joining later in the year.

Memberships are geared towards organizations that have many employees who are interested in attending BRPA meetings and functions. BRPA is mostly composed of members who are Business Continuity Professionals but the association is open to anyone who has an interest in learning more about business continuity and how it can impact their work site, community or personal lives. The people that attend BRPA events do not need to be the same at each event.

Individual practitioners may apply for Individual Membership. Individuals may work as independent contractors, be self-employed, or be employed by a corporation. A member is defined as any individual that has paid their annual dues at the individual level. All applications for Individual Membership are subject to review and approval by the President or Membership Director. Individual membership covers only one individual and is non-transferable. Membership permits the individual to attend all meetings and training sessions. Membership does not entitle members to free entry to events that require additional payment (e.g. Holiday Luncheon) and does not allow the member to utilize the vendor table. Each member also gets one vote related to all major organization decisions (e.g. Officers, Changes in bylaws, etc.). Cost: $100
Full-time students that are actively pursuing degrees or careers that align with the BRPA purpose specified in Article III of the bylaws may request student membership. Student membership is only available while the individual is actively working as a full-time student toward the completion of a degree. The Membership Director may request proof of enrollment at the time of application and during each subsequent renewal cycle. Student members should register using an email address issued by the college or university that the student attends. Student members are required to validate their membership information annually, including proof of continued full-time student enrollment. Student members are not entitled to voting privileges. Any officially and legally recognized agency of a local, state or federal unit of government is eligible to request government agency membership. Government agency membership is only available to local, state, and federal entities of the United States Government. Government agency members are not entitled to voting privileges. Government agency members are not eligible to serve on the Board of Directors. Additional restrictions apply as defined in the BRPA bylaws.Period: Annual membership is January 1 to December 31st. Collaborative Partner Membership
Collaborative partnerships are agreements and actions made by consenting organizations to share resources to accomplish a mutual goal. In that spirit, the BRPA Board, at its sole discretion, may enter and exit partnership agreements with other organizations in the spirit of mutual benefit to each organization’s members. Upon entering into such agreements, the BRPA Board may grant an organization Collaborative Partner Membership. Collaborative partner members are not entitled to voting privileges. Collaborative partner members are not eligible to serve on the Board of Directors. Additional restrictions apply as defined in the BRPA bylaws.Cost: $0
