Facilitator Biographies

Leo S. Chinnasswamy - Element  Critical

Leo S. Chinnaswamy is Chicago native, born and raised in the Windy City.

Leo’s roots are in the Telecom Industry, serving as a Field Engineer and Systems Engineer at Alcatel USA and a Sales Engineer at XO Communications (Verizon). Leo has also extensive experience in the data center world, serving as a Sales Engineer at Telx (Digital Realty) and a Senior Solutions Architect at QTS Data Centers.

Leo is currently the Senior Solutions Architect at Element Critical, supporting sales across the country and contributing to the growth of the company.

Leo is also a Cisco Instructor, teaching the Cisco CCNA Course at the College Of Dupage. The course covers Network/Cyber Security, Compliance, Routing/Switching, Building Network and VM Ware Stacks and connecting/managing both Private and Public Clouds. These areas, along with Connectivity, are where Leo serves as a subject matter expert.

Todd M. Carroll - CyberAngel

Todd M. Carroll serves as the CISO and VP of Cyber Operations, North America for CybelAngel. He joined the Paris-based company in January 2019 as part of CybelAngel’s expansion into U.S. markets. Mr. Carroll retired from the FBI in December 2018 as the Deputy Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Division. Mr. Carroll spent over 20 years with the FBI, serving in the Cyber/Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, and Intelligence Operations programs.

Mr. Carroll entered duty with the FBI in 1998 and was assigned to the Washington D.C. Field Office working Counterterrorism matters. He was a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) with the Critical Incident Response Group/Rapid Deployment Logistics Unit from 2003-2004. From 2006 to 2011, he was assigned as the SSA over the Cyber program in the Chicago Division developing the FBI’s intrusion capabilities.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement Administration from Western Illinois University and a Master’s of Science in Cyber Security from University of Maryland, University College in 2012. He holds four Global Information Assurance Certifications in information and cyber security. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University CISO academy in 2017.

Zoe Lindsey - Duo Security Zoe Lindsey is Duo Security’s Security Advocate Manager and an early member of the Duo team, having joined Duo in early 2012 with a background in medical and cellular technology. In her time at Duo, she has advised businesses and organizations of every size on strong security policy and unified access security solutions, and for the last two years has shared best practices and recommendations at events and discussion panels including the 2018 RSA Conference in San Francisco.
Al Martinez - Fusion Risk Management

Al brings to Fusion more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience with Fortune 500 corporations, private industry, government organizations and not-for-profit groups spanning food processing, manufacturing, retail, financial securities, insurance, aerospace, and telecommunications. Al focuses on business continuity planning, IT disaster recovery, crisis and incident management planning, enterprise risk management and assessing resiliency solutions for clients. He serves as Fusion’s senior advisor and leads on a variety of engagements.

Prior to joining Fusion, Al served as Assistant Vice President for Nuveen Investments responsible for managing the business continuity and IT disaster recovery programs and their recovery strategies. He previously served as Global Business Resilience Manager for General Mills where he was responsible for managing business continuity and crisis management for over one hundred business entities. During his career, Al has worked for Computer Sciences Corporation, Sears Roebuck and Company, and PwC.

Al holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
