Dan Olbur, Arthur J. Gallagher
Dan Olbur is an active member of the Continuity Community. The story begins circa 2005 when a bandwidth-starved Software Analyst dropped a whopping 162 page plan on his desk. Since then, Dan has been lucky enough to work in several different industries whilst honing his continuity craft. Dan is most currently affiliated with Gallagher in Rolling Meadows serving as one of two Enterprise Senior Business Continuity Specialists. He holds industry designations including a CBCP and an MBCI, and served a six year stint on the BRPA Board. For those interested in academia, Dan holds an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management/DeVry University and a BA in Telecommunications from Indiana University Bloomington. In his “spare” time Dan attends his three kids’ sporting, academic, and music events, spends hours behind the wheel running errands with his wife, and serves as a roadie for Six on Friday, a cover band in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Curt Coolidge, Agility
Curt Coolidge is the Enterprise Account Executive at Agility representing the upper Midwest Region. Agility is a business continuity company founded by General Electric in 1989. Agility provides access for their members across the continent to the four key aspects of business operations during a recovery: office space, computer systems, power and communications.
Curt joined Agility in 2004 as a Regional Sales Representative for the Midwest. Curt focused his efforts in partner and channel sales through insurance and accounting verticals leading to some of the largest memberships to date. In his current role, Curt focuses on companies with more than 3000 employees. His unique perspective and experience in the industry lend themselves perfectly to develop custom solutions for his customers.
Mark Norton, Agility
Mark Norton is a Test and Recovery Manager at Agility Recovery, a business continuity company founded by General Electric in 1989. Agility provides access for their members across the continent to the four key aspects of business operations during a recovery: office space, computer systems, power and communications.
Mark joined Agility in 2008 as an Associate Continuity Planner, orchestrating 100’s of member orientations annually. In 2014 Mark began to serve as the Director of Continuity Planning focusing on the orientation experience of new Agility members and helping these organizations prepare for recovery.
Since joining Agility, Mark has responded to over 1000 recoveries ranging from minor disruptions to major regional catastrophes. Mark, along with his colleagues in the Operations department at Agility have a 100% success rate recovering members throughout all types of disasters from coast to coast.
Robert Clark, TransUnion
Robert Clark CEM, CBCP is a risk management professional that develops, leads, and revitalizes business continuity and disaster recovery programs at global scales. For more than 20-years, Robert has built resilience programs in the telecommunications, manufacturing, petrochemical, and financial services sectors. From data center fires to earthquakes to hurricanes Isabel, Charlie, Frances, Ivan, Jeanne, Wilma, Katrina, and Rita. Robert has experience leading responses to incidents from the unexpected to the outrageous. As a risk management professional Robert helps companies focus and prioritize their efforts to achieve their risk optimization goals. Robert lives in Northwest Indiana and is the Senior Manager of Disaster Recovery for TransUnion.
Geary Sikich, Logical Management Systems, Corp.
Geary Sikich is a Principal with Logical Management Systems, Corp., a management consulting and executive education firm with a focus on enterprise risk management, contingency planning, executive education and issues analysis. Geary developed LMSCARVERtm the “Active Analysis” framework, which directly links key value drivers to operating processes and activities. LMSCARVERtm provides a framework that enables a progressive approach to business planning, scenario planning, performance assessment and goal setting.
2019 BPRA Service Project
Stars of HOPE is a unique disaster response and therapeutic arts program empowering people to transform communities impacted by natural and man-made disasters by creating and displaying colorful art and messages of hope and healing.
After a disaster, relief organizations come in and help with food, clothing, and shelter. We come with HOPE. Stars of HOPE helps to accelerate the healing process and strengthen the long-term mental health and resiliency of individuals and entire communities impacted by a disaster.
This service project helps create temporary art installations in communities impacted by tragedy and helps fund Stars of HOPE community healing arts projects. For more information visit https://starsofhopeusa.org/
